VHS NTSC ~ Sue Sheridan
Suggested Donation for PICK: $250

This video is not available at this time.

" Sue Sheridan is one of the most courageous heroes of the patient safety movement. Despite two preventable errors that resulted in the permanent disability of her son and death of her husband, Sue tirelessly seeks to help CEOs, trustees, clinicians, and consumers understand how to fix our system. Her tape is a must see for any hospital or clinical leader interested in disclosure and improved communication with patients"
Charles R. Denham, MD
Chairman, TMIT

Description

Despite the tremendous loss and suffering that Sue and her family have experienced, she has led other parents to establish PICK: Parents of Infants and Children Kernicterous, a non-profit foundation organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes. Sue's work has led to the first purely consumer driven Sentinel Event Alert issued by JCAHO on kernicterus prevention.

This video has been produced to inspire caregivers to prevent what happened to Sue Sheridan and her family from happening to other patients and their families. Hospitals making a donation to the Parents with Infants and Children with Kernicterus (PICK) will receive a copy of the tape and an additional copy will be sent by TMIT to three additional hospitals in the name of the donor hospital through the TMIT Pay-It-Forward Program. Tapes may be ordered at: www.Pay-It-Forward.org.

All proceeds will be forwarded to PICK, who has committed to assure that they will be directly applied to specific patient care and caregiver training activities. No donation funding will be used for general or overhead purposes of any type. For Further Information log on to www.Pay-It-Forward.org
